Selah reflections

---
One of the biggest mistakes you can make is to go where everyone else is going despite everything within you telling you to go the opposite way, because you think everyone else must be right and you must be wrong.

---

We can speak in powerful tongues, prophesy and have other spiritual gifts and STILL be far from Christ. Our gifts don't impress God. It's our heart posture that matters to him.

---

As much as we desire spiritual encounters, keep in mind that not every encounter is from the Lord. Test the spirit at all timeseven angels.

---

There's no easy life. You just have to be intentional about speaking and living out the Word of God daily and not letting the trials of life weigh you down.

---

When God gives you access to profound knowledge and you become aware of just how much grace you've been given, it's easy for pride to try to sneak in. Be careful that it doesn't. Pray for the spirit of humility to walk alongside your newfound knowledge of the deep things of God. Stay humble, prayerful, thankful. Embody the character of Christ.

---

Routine is good, but don't let it control you. Over time, routine can become a chore. No one likes chores. And certainly no one wants to feel like a chore. God deserves more than your routine time. He'll never force you to spend time with him. You have to want to do it, on a regular, not as a routine, but because it's a part of you. Like breathing is. That's the only time you'll meet him.

---

Are you willing to not be noticed by man for what you're doing for the Lord? Are you okay with not growing in fame or recognition? As long as the Lord's agenda is being fulfilled, be willing to become less and less, so that He can become greater and greater, and all glory goes back to Him.

---

What you may be going through at the moment is called the Process. A period of intense pruning, refining, unlearning, and relearning. It's hard. Harder than anything you've ever experienced. BUT. Stay the course, no matter how long it takes. Be strengthened. You'll come out the better and ready for your next level.

---

The absence of guilt doesn't always mean it's the right thing.

---

It's time to take your calling serious. Enough dilly dallying. Do whatever needs to be done to steward your gifts, get trained, and start doing the assignments God is sending us to do. There'll never be a 'perfect time' to start; the time is now. God is calling all his prophetic people and intercessors and there's never been a better time to respond and surrender. We are needed for such a time as this, and in spite of the enemy's plan to derail and distract, we can't let him win. We MUST begin to walk in our purpose and be intentional about it.

---

No man or woman should be used as the standard of what a true believer is. Read and meditate on the Bible for yourself. Eat the Word and let the Holy Spirit guide you in your understanding. That way, you won't be easily tossed and swayed by doctrines that don't align with the Word of God—even if said doctrines were delivered by an angel.

---

It's crazy how those who don't live for God on earth fully expect to live with him in heaven. We ignore God and everything relating to him, deny him every day, and then expect to spend eternity with him when the time comes. It doesn't work like that.

---

God just wants you to say yes and surrender all to him. He wants to train and equip you, and that process won't be easy. But once you come through it, you'll come out of it filled with power and the fire burning within you.

---

Repeating old destructive patterns is hard on our soul. Forming new positive habits is also hard. Choose your hard.

---

Don't mistake positioning for purpose. Being lower but aligned with God's plan is better than being elevated but misaligned.

---

The blood of Abel speaks vengeance. The blood of Jesus speaks mercy. Mercy will always supercede vengeance.

---

Suspicion is not discernment. Know the difference.

---

Have leaders, mentors, and those who encourage you on your faith journey. But be careful not to follow anyone's life as the true standard of a believer. Follow only what the Word of God says. Work out your own salvation.

---

Jesus has told you and shown you many times he wants a personal relationship with you, one that will change your life forever. What terrible sin(s) have you committed that you think he isn't able to forgive? He has told you not to worry about it but you're still making excuses about why you're not worthy. Run to his waiting arms while there's still time!

---

When you say yes to God, heaven rejoices and its gates open up in partnership with you. Your life won't automatically become all rosy and soft and easy. But rest assured that your reward will be great. God does not take your yes lightly. He does not joke with those who have agreed to be his vessel and be used by him. You will end well.

---

Lord, let my spirit not accept any word your spirit is not in agreement with. Amen.

---

Between the promise and the palace, there will be a 'wilderness' process, and it may take years before you get to the palace. Joseph didn't give up. David didn't give up. You BETTER NOT give up.

---

Be careful not to idolize the search for your 'calling'. Focus first and foremost on God's universal calling for us as believers - to live a life of worship that pleases Him. Focus on your spiritual growth and intimacy with God. Press in to Him. Serve where you can. Prove to Him that He can trust you, and in due time He will make known what He's calling you to do, even if it takes a while. Remember MosesGod called him out of retirement for his unique assignment, which he had been ready for since he was young. Remember JaelGod called a seemingly unlikely but ready vessel for her unique assignment to fulfill His purpose. Stay ready!

---

When you say YES to God, there is always going to be a standard required of you. You have to be willing to pay a price. Price of character reformation, price of mindset shift, price of change of appetite, price of everyone, even loved ones, turning away from you. Are you ready to pay that price? Are you ready to pick up your cross and follow Him, no matter the weight, no matter the cost? Are you willing to go ALL IN for Christ?

---

Endure the process. Don't forfeit the VISION because you couldn't endure the process. Be patient and keep your eyes on the One who gave you that vision!

---

If you're going to teach, don't just teach from a place of knowledge. Teach also from a place of compassion and understanding.

---

He must become greater and GREATER, and I must become less and LESS.
