Becoming God's vessel

Friend, living for God is the best decision you'll ever make. I can assure you of that.

Becoming God's vessel is about more than simply doing what he asks of you. It's really about becoming the person he wants you to be. It's about surrendering your plans, your desires, and your expectations to him and allowing him to shape your character.

Being a vessel means being willing to take risks for God's kingdom. Sometimes, he'll ask you to step out in faith before you feel ready. He may lead you to speak when you would rather remain silent, serve when no one is watching, or go in a direction that doesn't make sense to others.

When you choose to become a vessel for God, you'll be stretched beyond anything you can imagine. You'll be pruned, corrected, refined. There'll be seasons of waiting, seasons of uncertainty, and seasons when God seems to be working quietly behind the scenes. (And trust me, those quiet seasons will want to drive you insane!)

There'll be moments when your emotions will be all over the place. You may experience anxiety, stress, disappointment, frustration. You'll question whether you're hearing God correctly or whether you're capable of carrying out what he has called you to do.

But most importantly, you will GROW.

You will grow in patience. You will grow in wisdom. You will grow in humility. You will grow in confidence. And you will begin to trust him in ways you never thought possible.

Every challenge, every delay, every lesson, and every act of obedience is part of his process of preparing you for what lies ahead. Just as gold is refined by fire, God oftentimes uses difficult seasons to develop our character, strengthen our faith, and deepen our dependence on him.

As you walk with him, you'll also discover that God isn't looking for perfect people; he's looking for willing hearts. Throughout the Bible, he used ordinary men and women who simply said "yes" to him. Their willingness allowed God to do extraordinary things through them.

When you allow God to use you, you're placing yourself in his hands and making yourself available for his purposes. The life God has for you is far greater than anything you could build on your own, and there's no greater place to be than in the center of God's will!

Open yourself to be used by him. Stop waiting until you feel qualified. Stop waiting until everything is perfect. He's waiting for your yes.

The journey won't always be easy, but it'll always be worth it.

Be a vessel.
